WebMathematics Interactive 2 CADGME conference, Pécs, Hungary, 22 June 2007

This page is an edited version of the original (and obsolete) document for the CADGME conference.

Welcome! On this page you can find some WMI2 related links, especially for the CADGME conference.

If you are new to WMI, you can go for a visit to the WMI1 demo page. As of WMI2, to be short, the current goal of the actual state is to give the students a user friendly web interface for CAS based self-evaluation and for routine tasks. For that, the teachers are also available to edit and add CAS functions and calculator layouts. The final version of WMI2 is planned to have much more working functions, including thematic modules and Google-like search in a global database of exercises and problems. For the full list of planned functions please refer to the printed outline.

The WMI2 'planning' wiki is available on-line in our Mediawiki database, however it is quite outdated and obsolete.

The information guide for the WMI2 workshop is available here (in PDF format, 4 pages). This will be used as the printed outline during the workshop.

You can visit the production/stable demo of WMI2 on wmi.sf.net. This demo is known to work with Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and some other web browsers, too, however it is highly suggested to use Firefox for your convencience. However this software is reported to be stable, we still appreciate your feedback into our bug tracking database as well.

If you download WMI2, you will be in a need of some CAS knowledge if you want to create your own buttons. Currently only the maxima type is available. If you are new to Maxima, you still have two options to finish a crash-course: the first is to try wxMaxima. The second option is to read The Rosetta Stone for Computer Algebra Systems.

Have a nice experience using WMI2!
